It’s not just about learning to jive or dance. It’s about a social life based around music and dancing. Fun nights out with great people and fantastic music in brilliant venues.
Dance Teacher
Myself and my husband Pat are both from Dublin
I learnt to dance down the country in The Well, Moate with my husband Pat about 5 years ago. We had to travel down the country as there was no one teaching this style of country jive and Social dancing in Dublin.
About three and a half years ago we decided to bring this style of dancing to Dublin as we felt Dubs were missing out and we wanted to “Get Dublin Jiving“.
Its Great fun and a great Social night out. Our first class was in Fingallians Gaa Club in Swords and it has gone from strength to strength. We now teach all over Dublin.
We were on the Stetson and Stilettos television programme and we jived on The Late Late Show in 2019.
We also hold social dances once a month with country bands and one man bands. We’ve had Johnny Brady, Gerry Guthrie, Dominic and Barry Kirwan up as well as lots of one man bands.
Location! Location! Location! We work with some great venues that offer us lots of space to dance and socialise.
We hold our classes weekly in each of the different venues. If you want to attend our other classes you can.
There is no signing up or enetering into long contracts. All our classes are Pay As You Go. Just arrive and Jive.
Jive for Five was written by Paul Redmond to celebrate the Dublin GAA team going for 5 in a row in the All Ireland Championships.
